PROCESSION OF THE HOST, (m TEfiSPKurn—ruEss ASSOCIATION—COPYRIGHT.) London, September 15. According to somo statements, the decision not to carry the Host in the procession held on Sunday in connection with the Eueharistic Congress saved troublo. Mr. H. Fowler, secretary of the Protestant in 1845 "to maintain and defend tho Scriptural doctrines of the Reformation and the principles of religious liberty "—declareslf tho Host had been carried in the streets of London there would have beon bloodshed." Colonel Fitzpatrick states that a party of Orangemen bad vowed that the- Host should navor bo returned to Westminster Cathodral.
