NEW DESTROYERS.
LARGER, AND TO USE COAL. (BI TBLEORAPH—PrtKSS ASSOCIATION—COPYBIOBT.) (Rec. September 16, 11.59 p.m.) London, September 16. The Admiralty is inviting tenders for fourteen destroyers, larger than those built heretofore, and to consume coal. For the last three years destroyers have been constructed to use oil fuel alono. In future they will be built to use both.
