.-./: A preliminary meeting was held at Godber's last evening, m connection with tho formation of a New Zealand Natives'-As-sdciation,■■Dr. F. AY. Mackenzio being in the "chair. Tho idea is to inculcate a national spirit in- all native-born New "Zealanders. ]. lie-principal feature of tho association is that it is national in character. Within its 'ranks : New Zedlailders can meet on an equal footing to oxchango ideas and gather information regarding all question's affecting themselves 'and their country.'
