'■* The annual report of the committee stated; that'the past season had been a very successful one; the weekly competitions were well attended, and shooting of a-fairly .high standard was recorded. The club was represented at the New Zealand,.'D;F:R.A. "mooting at Trentham <> jn; March last by seventeen members," three of whom, Riflemen Turner, Franco, and : Rabe, ; shot into the "first fifty,".. Generally speak-? ing, the club did not show, up very : promin-: ently in the prize-list ; hut Rifleman France. upheld its honour by making the highest score in the Riflemen v. Volunteers' teams match) securing a special, prize.. ' ,«• » In the season's -shooting,- Rifleman; ; G.-, Halliday showed consistently: good marksmanship, finally securing.. the... club : championship honours, with the/..-,handsome " Pearce " Shield and a ' number,.--of.- other trophies. The runner-up.was Rifleman E...0. Lewer. The Kolapore,Aggregate was "carried off by Rifleman J. Burns, : followed closely by. Rifleman G. Halliday. . Rifleman Starididgo' won tho . Handicap Aggregate, the runner-up in this competition being Rifleman _A.-„ Vi: Kemp. . . Standidge shot .well right through the season. A very, great improvement was noticeable in the shooting, of the handicapl men as compared with their form. of. the previous season. / The annual presentation of prizes was held on May 27; a dinner was given on this occasion, and proved so enjoyable a function-, that it was since decided to make'it an'an-' nual affair. ';

Feeling reference is made to the removal, by death, of ex-Rifleman G. Gapes, who .in the x past did valuable service for tho club. Acknowledgement, with thanks, is made to the following, for donations: —Messrs. W. E.i Jackson, £6 65.; J. F. Mills, A. C. Pearco, 0. Daly, and F. J. Lissington, £2 2s: each; Cf. Gapes, A., Collins, I C. Hecksher, \V: Blundell, Judd and Randell, W. H. Field, and J. , Bedell, £1 Is. each; ' C. Stewart; Hi. Johnson, and Wickens and Co., 10s. 6d. each; —. Comer ss. The" statement ,of finances; showed that the club .was in a sound condition. The.balance of assets over liabilities was set ,down at £2, Ba. lid.;- the modest' size of : this balance,is, accounted for by tho fact that a very liberal, programmo of events and prizes was provided last season. £30 10s. were, expended in prize-moneys, while .marking fees, cost the. club £26 125.,:,

The report arid balance-sheet were adopted. A voto of thanks .was passed, to ' iho;Defence; Department and the Range . Commititoo, for ;many courtesies and attentions received. ■

The following offers of trophies, etc;, were, received Messrs. W. E. Jackson, £3 35.; F. J. Lissington, £2 25.; H. Marshall, G. Halliday, J. Burns, C. Hodder, —. Black, H. Bulford, £I,ls each; "Wickens and Co., 10s., 6d. ; Judd and Randell, a trophy. A hearty vote of thanks was tendered to the donors. ' . .

Hall, Captain A. R. Hislop; deputy-president, Mr. H. Marshall; secretary, Mr. liickson; 'treasurer and as-sistant-secretary, -Mr. H. Bulford; auditor, Mr. W. Judd; handicapper, Mr. C. Hodder ; general committc.e, the President, DeputyPresident, Secretary, and Treasurer (ex officio}, and Messrs. C. Hodder, W. Kemp, A. Franco, and ,G. Halliday. On the suggestion of Mr. G.. Halliday, it was decided that tho president of tho club should, act as, sole selector of two "cer- ; tainties" for No. 1 representative team at tho N.Z.D.F.R.A. meeting, these two, with the president, to act as a selection committee to chose tho balance of the club's representatives. Mr. G.. Halliday was appointed selector for,teams other than those Tor the D.F.R.A. meeting.
