INDIAN SEDITION.

0 ■ MURDER OF THE INFORMER GOSSAIN. (HI TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION—COFYEIOHT.) Calcutta, September 13. Dutt, a Bengali, was sontenced to death for killing Gossain. Ho is entitled to appeal. Ghoso was found not guilty, but tho case was referred to tho High' Court. Arabindo Ghose, Narendra Nath Gossain, and 32 others were arrested some months ago on charges of being involved in the bomb conspiracy known as the Jlanicktola affair. In June, Gossain turned informer, and gave evidence against tho other accuscd. About a fortnight ago, two of the accused, whoso names were not stated, shammed illness, wero admitted to the gaol hospital, and there shot and killed Gossain. One of thesa two men has now been sentenced to death. It is not clear whether the latter part of tho cablegram refers to his companion, or to the original charge against Abariudo Ghoso. From tho evidence given by Gossain it would'appear that tliero is another Ghoso (Barindra Kumar Ghose, Arabindo's brother), also a Khirod Bihari Dutt implicated in the conspiracy. Narendra Nath Gossain, who was one of tho number who threw a bomb into the diningroom of tho Mayor of Chandernagore, stated in evidence that tho plan of the conspiracy was to obtain money by looting wherewith to buy arms and materials for bombs. After tho attempt on tho train of the Lieutenant-Gover-nor, Arabindo Ghose told him to try again.
