The .reorganisation of the ".Times under the-ne^-proprietary has begun,; and readers have. :no .doubt noticed (says the "Daily Chronicle") certain changes in: the appearance :of the. paper, which mark the beginning of new developments. It is lio secret- that , while the neiv proprietor,? include Lord ' Rothschild.and Lord Cromer,,the controlling interest is in the hands of Lord Noithcliffe, tho chief ; proprietor of. the " Daily Mail " and its allied publications. Tho new proprietors have just removed the anomaly of Laving.,, the paper printed in an office and with machinery which did not'belong to them by . -buying out the interests of -Messrs. Vinlter. Everyono employed in connection w : ! ': rSwhaniral department of tho paper received a printed intimation signed by Air. G. E. Wright, printer of the "Times," <1 t'oi notice as employees of Mt-ssrs. Walter, and saying that the.v might be'reengaged by Mr. Sloborldy Bell oil-behalf of the nev/ owners. About thirty of the older employees, including the head of .the advertisement printers, tho chief reader, and Mr. 'Wright, v/hoso name has so long. appeared on the imprint of tho "Times as the printer, have not been re.engaged. , Mr. Godfrey Walter, the former manager, is also leaving. A. new manager,. Mr.VKitc'nin, has been engaged, as already announced, while Mr. Bland, formerly connectctl with the " Daily Mail" and " Daily, Mirrbr,"-has been, acting as " walking manager" arid recommending changes. With the oixception of Mr. Walter and Mr.-Mob-erly Bell, i managing director, tho board of the "Tinibs" consists of employees'of tho company, and while it is'truetiiat the paper is under tho control of this board, tho board is, of course, under the control of the dominating shareholders.
