o —. (Br TELEGRAPH —PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, September 9. At tho Otago Boxing Association's tournament to-night Griffin (Canterbury) beat Fulton (Dunedin) in a six-round bout. This contest provided the best exhibition of boxing during 'the evening, and after a very close go tho judge's verdict went to tho northerner. fieatlcy defeated Owens in tho first round, tlio latter boxer's seconds throwing tho towel into the ring. Hegarty (Timaru) did not put in an appearance. A. Ross was awarded the fight on forfeit. Sanairs (Westport) lost tho verdict to R. Ross (Dunedin) at tho end of a six-round bout.
