WELLINGTON POULTRY, PIGEON, AND CANARY SOCIETY.

' ♦" The 26th annual meeting of the Wellington Poultry, Pigeon, and Canary. Society-was held in Godber's Room last evening, about thirty members attending, Mr. D, Murphy occupied the chair. • ' • The anuual report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. ' . 3lr. Grcnside said he regretted to notico from the report that the poultry entries last year were not no largo as thoy should have been. Ho hoped that this year there would bo an upward movement. Unless there were the poultry section might ha'/e to bo dropped: He also spoko of the services rendered by' thr; treasurer, Mr.. Simpson, who had contributed much to the prosperity of the society. • The following officers were elected Patron : His Excellency the Governor; president, his Worship tho Mayor; vice-presidents, Messrs. J. Casey, D. Murphy, M. G. Greneide, A. Simpson, E. J. Fallu, E. B. Bristow; committeo, Messrs. F. E. Fauvel, T. R. Boyes, G. E. Fearn, A. H. Guthrie, R. Bailor, R. Hastie, H. G. Wilton, S. L. Russell, H. W. Littlejuhn, R. C. Gardiner, J. Currie. and J.D. Iremonger; auditors, Messrs. Henry Kembcr and Son. The appointment of a secretary and a treasurer was held over till the first meeting of tho committee. A bonus of £3 3s. was voted to tho auditors, Messrs. Henry Kembcr and Son. Mr. M. G. Gronsido was olcwtcd a life member of the society.
