lOXIC, DUE TO-DAY. This morning tho Sliaw-Savill liner lonic, from London via Capetown and Hobart, is duo to arrivo in port. The vessel, nftcr being cleared by the Customs and health authorities, will' berth at tho Queen's Wharf. Tho Waikaro is duo from Northern ports this morning, and in tho afternoon leaves for Lyttelton and Dunedin. To-morrow tho A. and A. liner Jeanara is cxpected to complete discharge at. Welling- ( ton, and will take departure for Lyttelton. Messrs. Johnston and Company advise that tho'Tainui is expected to arrivo in Wellington : next Saturday from Mokau, and will leave for Waitara tho same day. Mr. Barr has joined the Kamona as acting chief ■ officer, and Messrs. Clunie and Paton are back in their old positions as second and third officers respectively. The Kotuku left Westport at 7 o'clock yesterday morning for Groymouth, and the Ivaituna sailed at the same hour from Groymouth for Dunedin. As there are still somo minor repairs to be carried out on board the Hinemoa, her departure for the Southern lighthouse tour has been postponed till 7.30 p.m. next Thursday. | At' 7 p.m. on Sunday tho Union Company's steamer Arahura arrived in Westport from Wellington, via Picton and Nelson. She left there for Greymouth at 4 a.m. yesterday. It was expected that the Union Company's steamer Kaitangata would get away from Lyttelton at midnight last night for Wellington. She leaves here on Thursday for Westport. Last night the Union Company's steamer Koonya left Timaru for Wellington direct. Prom here she proceeds to the West Coast, probably to-morrow, no time being fixed for her departure. Owing to inclement weather, the Union Company's steamer Whaugape, from Newcastle, at present in Napier, has been delayed in her discharging operations. She is expected to leave there. this afternoon for AYellington. To-day the Union Company's steamers Waipori'and Kamona aro both expected to leave Wellington for Westport. is to depart for Greymouth to-morrow to load for Wellington. ' Captain Broadhouse is now in command of the barque Eona, which left Kaipara on Wednesday with a cargo of timber for Melbourne. Captain Collins, late of the Whangape, has joined the Waihora, and Captain Eutter comes South for orders.
