Although the Harriers' season is rapidly drawing to a close, there is as yet no sign of waning interest on the part of members. Tho attendanco on Saturday, when tho run was held from Karori, was well up to tho average for 'the season. A good course, with very littlo road work in it, was trailed by Rowberry, Press, and Williams, tho latter being until recently an activo member of tho Manchester Harriers. Owing to tho trail being lost at one point the pack became scattered, but they bunched again when ncaring Ifarori. and were together when tho whistle sounded for the run in at tho finish. J. F. Wilson secured first placc from H. J. Pollock, who was in a good position until lie had to. swervo off his course to avoid a collision with a car at tho bend, wliilo P. A. Wilton just managed to beat J. Finn for third place. \ For the annual cross-country championship, which is to be dccided at Miramar next Saturday, thirty-seven men have qualified, and as most of them intend going to tho post a record field is assured. A sealed handicap raco is to bo held in conjunction with tho ovent, and oil tho result the club's representatives at tho annual teams' road raco arc to bo selected,.
