Hewlett were motoring .along .the Western Lake, road, they received a nasty spill. It appears that Howlott was'-'.sitting on the parcel carrier at tho back of Webbley's cycle, and tliey were travelling at a fair, rate along the Western Lake road.; Control of the machine was .lost when turning the railway bend, and both were capsized off.! Howlett received a nasty gash on the right' knee, having, to have a couple of stitches put in. The other rider escaped with, a shaking. ' The estimated cost of the new fire brigade station at Martinborough, which was opened this week,_ is £127.
