M. Eugeno Ysayo was some ' time ago ordered to pay £320 to a Belgian railway guard who alleged that ho had become deaf after the famous violinist had boxed his cars. M. Ysayo was coming homo with his brothor from Antwerp, and it was stated that tho assault followed a demand for tickots from tho violinist; who was disturbed by tho guard while asleep. An . appeal has been mado, and tho damages havo now been reduced to £60, as it was proved that tho guard's hearing was defective before the assault. . '
