In tho courso of a brief conversation,, the well-known athlot-o said that he was feeling in' good fettlo to start work, having quite recovered from the attack of influenza which troubled him, in In his preliminary worlc ho will have tie assistance ol Harry Floyd, wliilo about tho. middlo -of October Fogwell will como across from Sydney to put .the final touches on. his preparation, and act as his paoemaker.. In reply to a question as to what: he thought of his prospects in the coming raco, Arast said that riatnrally_ every man ".who took pail, in a contest'considered that ho: had a chance, but be recognised that he had a very hard man to moot. He frankly admitted that ho himself was not a skilled oarsman, and know that ho had yet a groat deal to learn.
