There was an attendance of about fifty! at tho smoke concert held under tho auspices' of tho .Wellington branch of tho New Zealand Institute of Architects last night. Tho function, which took place in Godber's ltooms, was very enjoyable. At a suitable juncture, the president (Mr. l'\ do J. Clero) made a few remarks of special interest to members. Items were rendered during tho evening as follow: — Pianoforte selection, Mr. D. A. Kenny; songs, Messrs. W. Turnbull, 10. J. Hill, D. A. Kenny, A. W. Newton, A. S. liallance, I']. 11. Parkes, and W. M. Page; sketches, Mr. W. R. Watts; recitation, Mr. H. Banks; modelling, Mr. W. It. Walts. 1 The men of Now Zealand are becoming greatr lea-drinkers, and aro now rather fastidious.)
