: : * INTERESTING SCHEME. " ! 'DOCK, DREDGING, AND RECLAMA- . TION." • ■ 'At yesterday's meeting of the Harbour Board, the chairman (Mr. T. 11. Wilford) moved the following motions, in accordanco with notice :— . "That in view of tho proposed scheme for ; the conversion of the Hutt River, into a harbour for sliip- . "That in. view of the proposed scheme for tho conversion of tho Hutt River into a harbour for shipping, which includes tho erection of a dock, tho acting-engineer bo in- ■ structed to-<preparo estimates showing.. tho cost of reclamation from x •Ko.ro Rqro to the mouth of tho ' . Tho .Chairman said that, regarding a largo part of the land, the proposal of Mr. Laing:'Moason,; acting on behalf of tho Hutt River Board, "jouched"the property of the board, and it was'very necessary to tako the action die . proposed: ' ' E., seconded tho motions. Mr. M-'Bwan raised tho question as to whether the.- work; could be done legally by the Hutt RiVerjpoard.
