Tho Political Labour League intends to nominate candidates for Dunedin South and Dunedin West at the general election. It is understood that Mr. Johnston, of Waipori, will ho tho Minister for Labour's opponent, and that he will bo backed by Labour and Tcmpcranco interests. Dunedin, August 26. At s. meeting of' iho Political Labour Loaguo to-night it was decided to ask tho' following gentlemen to become candidates for the city seats at tho general electionDunedin W-est: Messrs. D. M'Larcn and J. W. Munrol Dunedin Central: Messrs. R. Breen and R. ■W. Campbell. Dunedin South: Messrs. R. R. Douglas and J. Haymes. If necessary, a ballot will be taken later on to decido ou tho candidates to be definitely selected.
