YORKSHIRE SOCIETY.

The large gathering of members and friends at tho Yorkshire Society's meeting last night augurs well for tho growing popularity of tho society. The evening was devoted to music and conjuring, aiid a very enjoyablo time was spent. Mr. John Allen presided at the piano, and songs were rendered by Messrs. Gi. Bell, G. W. Slowman, G. A. Watkins, and F. Hodgson. . Miss Hall gavo a couple of recitations, which were heartily applauded. Mr. Hubbard, a conjurer of no mean ability, gave some very interesting items in sleight of hand, introducing a few really clever tricks with cards, etc.-, which proved very, ontertainiug.
