At a meeting of the Canterbury Rugbj, Union to-night a letter was received from tho Otago Association asking if Canterbury would support a requisition to hold, a special meeting of the New Zealand Union to consider tEe suggested amendments in the laws of the game. It was hotly contested from start to finish, and resulted in favour of the combined team by 13 to 11. For; tho winners R. Thompson scored two tries, which ( H. Roberts converted, and Brooker one.
