HOCKEY.
MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE. .An adjourned mooting of the Wellington Hockey Association was held last evening, Mr. W. J. Organ being in tho chair. ■ Tho report of the referee regarding the Karori team was dealt With.. The team, • with tho exception of ono man, denied the hooting complained of, and after going exhaustively into tho matter, tho members of the team wore severely censured. A letter was received from tho New Zealand Hockey Association in reference to tho proposed visit of an English team. It was decided that tho Wellington Association could not guarantee any expense without further information. It was resolved to offer the Ladies' Association tho use of tho Day's Bay grounds from September 4 to 11 inclusive. ' It was decided that tho senior championship matches be completed on the return of tho touring team. Tho junior and thirdclass matches for Saturday are to be played as drawn. An application from tho St. Patrick's and Wellington junior teams to have their match held over until the end of tho season was referred to tho Match Committee. On account of the illness of Mr. W. E. Pearson, secretary, Sanders (Vivian) was made goal-keeper in tho representative team.. Tho committee expressed sympathy with Mr. Pearson. Tho team to play tho trial match with tho representatives will bo . finally selected to-day.
