DINNER TABLE DECORATIONS.
The latest idea for dinner-table decoration in Paris is to have flowers profusely scattered over the tabled not in tall vases so as to hido the guests seated at opposite sides of a table,. and so prevent conversation from becoming general, but laying on the cloth, which must be white on ceremonious occasions—white, and glazed, to look liko a mirror. Embroidered or coloured tablo linen is only permitted for smaller dinners, and in all cases the centro cloth should in one way or other recall tho general shapo or shade of tho flowers chosen. A pretty new idea is," to add to the dishes containing tho cakes'for dessert a kind of metal kandle or hoop, which i's covered with tiny baby roses with blue or pink ribbon hiding tho hoop, of metal.
Wash tan shoes with soap and water, and dry them before applying a tan shoe dressing, for in -this way many stains aro removed instead of being covered. Washing tan shoes with warm sweet milk now and thon will prevent them from turning so dark. Tke same directions for cleaning tan. shoes may bo applied to tan leather suit cases.
