On Tuesday' night the professional boxing match is lixednto tako placo at tho Opera House, under..tho auspices of tho Wellington JJoxing Association. Tho contestants, who aro matched to box fiftoen rounds, will bo H. Hyland, of New South Wales, and A. (iault, of Auckland. Tho mntoll between Hyland and Godfrey fell through in conseqiicnco of tile latter contracting rheumatism, in his knees, and then Hyland agreed to box Gault on condition that ho did not scalo more than Osb. Olbs. Hyland and his trainor arrived from Sydney last Wednesday, nnd, ns Hyland who is training hard is reported to lio very fit, it good exhibition I's expected. A ten-round match between T. M'Gibbon (New South Wales) and "Doss" Hums, of i'etone, will also take placo the same evening. Uurns is described aa beintc 0110 of tho determined style of boxers, and M'Gibbon, who makes his lirst appearance jn New Zealand, will find him a hard man to beat.
