From Youngj a town of between 3000 and 4000 inhabitants, pleasantly situated on the Burragong or Main Creek, 256 miles southwest of Sydney, comes news of a sensational tragedy. It appears that.,.a\Mis?, : D.r}immond made a call on a friend—Mrs. Lillis. Edward Lillis, who Was in; tho . house, called, MiSs Driimmond aside, and fatally shot her, then blew out his own brains. Some time ago Lillis proposed to Miss Driimmond, but was rejected, and subsequently tho girl became engaged to another suitor. • ' • . The victims of tho tragedy are members of prominent families.
