To-morrow the New Zealand Shipping Com-' pany's steamer Tongariro is duo to arrive from London, via Capetown' and Ilobart. Tho vessel has on board a large-number of immigrants. Mr. A. A. S. Danby, of tho Immigration Department, has been advised that iiicrc arc in all 73 persons who are assisted immigrants, viz.: OS adults and 15 children. Amongst them aro 15 farmers, 0 domestic servants (2 for Wellington,-2 for Auckland, , and 1 cacli for Lyttelton . and Wcstport); G farm labourers, and a dairymaid. The total number of immigrants nominated in New Zealand by near relatives is 19 adults and 11 children. They have various sums of money ranging from £450, £300, £150,. £100, down to £25.
