At tho Dunedin Plumpton Coursing Club's smoko concert, held last evening, strong exception was taken to tho Bill now beforo tho House of Representatives, concerning tho Stopping of Plumpton coursing. It was stated that tho mortality among tho hares was very low. At the last Oamaru meeting there was only one kill throughout tho whole meeting. At Rooty Hill, Sydney, it is nq uncommon occurrence to run through tho meeting with only 5 per cent, of kills. There was a far greater number - of- hares killed in open coursing, tho percentage ranging from 70 t<> 90 per cent. (bj telegraph—rr.Ess association.) Dunedin, August 23.
