SALE OF MATAWHERO SHORTHORN STUD.

Tho . famous Matawhero Shorthorn stud cattle, owned by Messrs. M'Master 8r05.,: of Lower.-Valley, Wairarapa,..have been purchased, outright by Mr. W; Howard Booth, of Uarringt-on Station, Carterton. It is understood,, writes jour Wairarapa correspondent, that Mr. Booth has purchased the Matawhero estato. The Matawhero Shorthorn cattle havo been one of the features of Wairarapa A. and P. and Masterton shows for a number of years, and the competition evoked amongst the aristocratio breeds of Matawhero, To Ante, and Mount Herbert have made history whenever tho word "Shorthorn" has-been used in discussions on tho quality of stock.
