v — KENT TERRACE ANNIVERSARY. Children's anniversary services were held in the Kent Terrace Presbyterian Church yesterday. Three services . wero held, and all were largely attended. The Rev. S. J. Serpell, of Wesley Church, Taranaki Street, preached in the morning, on tho text: "Unless yc arc converted- and become as little children ye shall not enter the Kingdom of Heaven." In the afternoon, Mr. J. G. \V. Aitken, M.P., spoke on Gideon's three hundred; and tho Rev. S. J. Serpell, preachingin the evening, 'found his subject in Lot's choice. The collections, which will Be devoted to the Sunday school, wero substantial. Special hymns were sung by'the children at all the services. A tea and concert will be held to-morrow evening. MISSIONS TO SEAMEN. Anniversary, services in connection with tho Missions to Seamen Church and Institute wore largely attended yesterday. Mr.' J. Moore, missioner, was . the preacher, both in the morning and in the evening. The Wellington Navals, 52 strong, under • Captain Duncan Menzies and Lieutenants C. Sonimervillo and V. R. Meredith, took part in the morning service, and the Garrison Band, under Lieutenant Herd, also took part, after ai parade through the city streets. ■ ■ Mrs. B. M. Wilson and Mr. Hockley sang solos at tha morning' and evening services respectively. Tho lessons were read by Lieutenant V. R. S. Meredith, Messrs. C. P. Poivles, E. L. Burgess, and J. S.Cummihgs. ■ A meeting will be held to-night, at which the Hon. W. Hall-Jones will preside, and the following will give addresses The Rev. A. do H.. Robinson, Dr. M'Arthur, S.M., Professor Easterfield, Dr. Pollen, Messrs. T. W. Glasgow, H. E. Nicholls, E. Balcombe Brown, E. C. E. Mills, G. W, Barlthrop, and the missioner. The following are the vocalists and. instrumentalists:—Mesdames F.";Pv Wilson, Mitchell, and Kendall, Messrs. J,, Searle and Clarksoh. ' ' ■A meeting of the Kelburne Presbyterian Church Committee was held at" Mr. J. P. Campbell's residence on Friday evening. It was reported that subscriptions were now well in liand. Such satisfactory progress has been m»ee that it is hoped before^long "to talre steps towards the erection of n suitable building on the site already purchased. '
