A German military airship and the Parseval balloon manoeuvred for two hours over Berlin. They met over the Brandenburg gate, one airship being sixty yards above the other. They then sailed down the Unter den Linden to the Arsenal. A German military airship performed a number of evolutions over Berlin last year. Major von Parseval's new airship is 182 ft, long, aud contains 4500 cubic metres of hydropen, with a carrying capacity of 18001b. She is propelled by a 90-li.p. motor. The propeller, attached at the aft- end of the ship, is also "non-rigid." It is stated tljat a novel feature of the balloon is its pear-like shape, "fat" in front and tapering towards tho rear.
