Gd., debtor ordered to pay 10s. per week. ' . In a defended case C. A. Pownall v. T. Roberts, a claim for £25 16s. 6d., judgment, was given for plaintiff for the full amount and £1 10s. costs. ' FIRE BOARD MEETING; ' The Masterton Fire Board met yesterday afternoon, Mr. 0. Pragnell presiding'. over a full meeting of members. It was decided to submit-tne by-laws of the Board to'' Inspector Hugo to allow him to make any sugr gestioiis thereon. •It was resolved to obtain a now fire bucket and fire box for the; Jubilee fire engine.

_ The Board agreed to bring under the. no-. tice of the Borough Couiicil the portion of Inspector Hugo's report dealing with, the' pressure of the borough water supply, and 'j. to direct the, council's attention to the dan- : ger involyed by allowing the indiscriminate ', use of water in periods of drought. The offer of the Borough Council wag accepted in regard to the installation of a fire alarm system. It was decided to ask the Council to set up a committee to co-operate with a . committee of. the Board in tho matter. It was decided to.-invite offers of sites in the borough on which to erect a fire brigade station.
