The British footballers visited Newcastle, and defeated tho Northern Districts team by 32 points to nil. The locals were completely outclassed. AUSTRALIAN GAME. THE CARNIVAL AT MELBOURNE. '.Melbourne, August 20. At the football carnival (Australian game) Tasmania defeated Queensland by 22 goals and 22 behinds to 2 goals and 2 behinds.
