College Old Girls, oil Thorndon ground ; St. John's A v. St. John's B, on Vivian ground. Tliird Class—Terrace A v. Roseneath, on Wellington ground; Girls' College v. Kia Ora, on Johnsonville ground; Greggs v. Wesley,: on Association ground, at 2 p.m.; Endeavourers v. Hcreawa, on Wesley ground; Victoria College v. Terrace B, on St. Patrick's Collogo ground. .There will bo no senior games on Saturday, but instead a trial representative match, Possibles. v. Probables, will be played on tho Y.M.C.A. ground, Miramar.
: MANAWATU v. HAWKE'S BAY. (BI TELEGEArn.—SrECIAL CORRESPONDENT.) Palmcrston North, August 19. The representative match' between Manawatu and Hawke's Bay Associations took place on the Show Ground this afternoon. The weather was fine when the galne commonced, but a heavy shower of. rain caused play to bo suspended for ten minutes and made the ground very bad. The teams were very evenly matched, but if anything Manawatu had the better of it. They scored two goals through the agency of Eraser and Waldegravo in tho first spell. Hawke's Bay put up a stubborn uphill fight, however, and towards the end of the second spell'found tho net twice, Shatky and Bundle • being the scorers. Hawke's Bay play a hard game of tho hit and follow up order, while Manawatu rely more on frequent combined passing movements. Mr. Warden refereed.
Hawke's Bay wore entertained to-night by tho, Manaivatu Association, and leave in the morning for Wanganui, where they play tomorrow.
