Lovers of art' and others interested are referred to an advertisement appearing in oitr auction salo columns to-day, where it will bo seen that a collection of 100 oil and watercolour paintings from the brush of Mr. W. G. Baker, tho well-known New Zealand artist, are to bo sold absolutely without reserve, in the Exchange Auction Rooms, of T. Kennedy Macdonald, Ltd., Lambton Quay, on Monday next, at 2 o'clock. The collection is described as a very fiuo one, depicting studies of almost every spot in New Zealand of special sconic interest. Catalogues will bo forwarded to any address on application. The opportunity of obtaining paintings of this class at unreserved prices is n very rare one. They will be on view on Thursday, and gaslight displays will be held on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7 to 9 o'clock.
