HARRIERS.

The weekly club run of the Wellington Harriers was commenced from Cliff House at Island Bay on Saturday afternoon, twentyfour members taking part. The selection of a courso was left to F. Wilton and F. J. M'Comiskey, and they laid a trail along the beach and up the hills on the eastern side of tho bay. After passing Houghton Bay tho hares followed a spur, which brought them down below Berhampore, and then crossed the hill leading into Happy Valley which was followed till Oliiro Bay was reached,'when the trail led back to Island Bay along the coast. The pack, which was in charge of W. B. Bennett, sighted tho hares a number of times, but could not lessen the gap between them, and eventually finished about five minutes behind, after covering a distance of eight miles. J. F. Wilson gained first place in tho run in, with H. J. Pollock and J. Finn filling sccond and third places respectively. Tho competition for Mr. C. D. Morpeth's trophy for the scorer of most points in mnsin and attendances, -has readied an interesting stage, as Wilson and Pollock aro now bracketed for the leading position with 3t points each. Next Saturday tho pack will participate in an invitation run from Wyatt's Kiosk at Worser Bay. ' •
