ANNUAL. MEETING. The annual meeting in connection with s the No. 2 Co-operativp Building-Society was held last night. In presenting their 13tli annual report, which was adopted, the director's stated that it was'gratifying to note' that the Society steadily fulfilled'the purpose for which it jvas formed. The subscriptions •...« received during the year aihount-od to £349 145., and tho redemption. moneys to £687 16s. 4d. The amount appropriated for loans ' . to members was £1300. Tho director retiring in accordance with the Society's rules was Mr. Thos. Byles; and there were three vacancies to be filled in the directorate. The following being eligible, had given due notice of their' intention to bo candidates:—Messrs. W. A. • Cliotq, C. Sedgwick, and A. W. Burnett. In ' addition to tho credit balance on the profit and loss account there was a small sum of interest .accrued in the Post Office Bank, but against- this niust be placed a few pounds ■ that wpuld be required in readjusting the : office fiirnituro account with the other societies'using the office. Sixteen meetings of directors wero held in tho .year, twelve of them being ordinary monthly and four special. Mr. Byles, who had efficiently served the Spcinty for a number of years as a director, was unable to seek re-election through outside business arrangements.' .Messrs. W. A, Chote, A. ,W. Burnett, and 0. Sedgwick were elected directors. Mr. H. R. Hollis was re-elected auditor. i Votes of thanks to directors, secretary, and other officers terminated the proceedings.
