Messrs. Tate and Marriott intend to shift their, private cheese factory from, tho top of the.Tararuas into •• Ballanco (writes our Wairarapa correspondent). It is estimated that the milk supply will bo about 1000 gallons per day.

Tho total butter-fat received was. |310,9011b5., tho overrun, was 12.09 per cent.,. and tho total-butter made was 348,477 lbs.. It took 23.8211b5. of milk to make a pound of butter. Tho average prico received for butter was 10.6 pence. It cost 1.467 penco to make and market it. The net prico received for butter' was 9.133 pence per lb. Tho averago grade work was 92.9.
