Simpson inado this the peg on which to hang, somo remarks as to the .facilities existing in Sydney for marrying in hr.ste. , His Honour drew attention to tho fact that in tho Victorian Bill to, amend the Marriage Act. it was provided that three days' notice must be given of any marriage that was to take place aftor 6 o'clock in tho evening, As the law in Now South Wales stood, parties could bo married at any hour of tho night without giving any notice at all. He considered that three days' notico was very desirable, and ho could see no valid reason why such legislation should not bo "introduced in New South Wales.
