POST AND TELEGRAPH RIFLES. The following programme of matches for tho coming season has been arranged by the Post and Telegraph Rifles:— Company's Belt. Three matches at short ranges (200 yds. to 500 yds.), tho best two of which will count. Three matches at' medium ranges (500 yds. to 700 yds.), the best two of which will count. Two matches at long ranges (800 yds. to 1000 yds.), tho best of which will count. Tho ten highest scorers in tho abovfi matches to firo in the final—seven shots at 200, 500, and GOO yards. Hallenstcin Cup. To be won .by highest aggregate scorer (handicap included) in two out of three matches at short and medium ranges. Long range shooting is being included in the matches for the Company's Belt this year.

It is intended to send the five highest aggregate scorers in the Celt matches to the N.Z.D.F.R.A. meeting to be held early next year. Empire Postal Match. News has been received from London to the effect that the Empire Match, which was to have been fired on August 26, has been postponed until September 16, to enable arrangements to be completed for tho inclusion in tho competition of teams from Canada, Capo Colony, Natal, South Australia, and Transvaal, as well as the teams that competed last year (London, Melbourne, Sydney, and Wellington).
