Id. was advanced on butter-fat returns, while £495 lis. lid. was spent in buying butter - for local consumption; salaries, and wages 'amounted to' £632 13s. 4d; cartago and freight, £165 3s. lid.; firowood, £150 16s. 9d.;'butter boxes, £97 os. 9d. ;:and interest, '£191 ss. sd. The total working. expenses of the- factory were £1360 Bs. 9d. The total sales of butter were set down at £7687 15s. Id. Last year the company, after provid- 1 ing , for a dividend, carried forward • £111 •14s. lid., which',this. season, without any dividend, has dropped- to £10 10s. sd.
