LADIES' ASSOCIATION.

Victoria College v. Petone. ; This was a keenly-contested game, and was played at'Miramar on the Wellington ground. Petono finvards showed plenty of dash'and determination, but lacked the combination of the Collegians./ The game ended in favour of the Victoria College team By 2 goala. to nil. Miss K. M'lntosn secured one goal, and the.other was got from- a. scramble: In this match the Petone left wing was never in her place. • The ball was passed splendidly from the right,.but she was seldom there to reoeive it,. which considerably spoilt tho Blues' play. Miss Scrimshaw, on the right wing, played a particularly good game for Petone, and on one occasion got clean away and should easily have scored a goal, but hit over the ball and gave sticks. 'The pick of the Greens' forwards were Misses Tavendale, Iv. M'lntosh, and Casey. Miss Cos was most conspicuous in the defence line, and hit accurately and consistently. Miss Edith Fleet was tho best of Petone back division. Mr. J. W. Gendall was referee. Junior. Hinemoa v. Victoria College A;— These teams, who were-both leading for the Cup, met on the Y.M.C.A. ground at Miramar, and provided a good exhibition of hockey, which would have done credit to any Senior' Grade team. 1 The two teams Were evenly matched and • keen' on winning, making the game a very fast ( one. The Collegians' play was more open than that of their opponents; and they were successful in winning by. 2 goals to 1. ' Misses Jackson and M'Kenzia. secured the goals for College, and Miss B. Harrison for Hinemoa. The match was in doubt right up to'the call of time, and was witnessed by a fair number of people. Misses Elliott, Jackson, and M'Kenzie were tho pick of the College forwards, whilst Misses Hcwetson, Gatcnby, and' Jamieson wore most conspicuous in the defence line. Those showed good form for the Reds were Misses E. Harrison, E. Carmichael, E. Barraclough, and Stairmand (forwards), and Misses H. Smith, D. Tinnev, and A. Smith in the back division. Mr. M. Pearn had charge of the John's A beat Victoria Collego B by 1 goal to nil, shot by Miss A. Patterson. Mr. A. Hall was. referee. : Girls' College defeated Wesley by 3 goals to • nil. Miss' Johnson, who is a brilliant player, secured all the goals. Mr. F. E. Kelly was in charge of tho game. Greggs and Ramblers played a,drawn game, neither side scoring. Mr. L. P.; Leonard controlled tho match. _ . _ ' St. John's B won against Kiwi by 2 goals to 1. Miss Allan scored for St. John's,. and Miss Henrys for Kiwi. Mr. L. P.r'Wrigloy was referee. . Third Glass. Hinemoa defeated Girls' Collego by 5 goals to nil, scored by Misses Howard (3), Sti'.vns, and Bayli3s. Mr. H. W. Bennett carried the whistle. , , ; Victoria College won by default against Greggs. Ramblers beat Terrace B by 2 go&ls to nil, shot by Miss C. Cameron (2). llr. R. Marshall officiated. - , Here-awu defeated St. John s by 4 goals to nil, Misses V. Ellis (3), and Temnerton beting the scorers. Mr. C. Psvitt vac the referas. Terraco A were victorious over Weiley by 8 goals to nil, shot by Misses Burr (2) and Turner. Mr. L. P. Leonard refereed.
