Tho plight of tho four men became serious, and tile , sails of their little .craft-oarried away. Captain Woods, of tho steamer Storm, which arrived in tho roadstead shortly before 2.30, from Dunedin, steame'd to them to render assistance. A tow lino was put aboard, and after an exciting run tho little' boat was pulled to a position a littlo north, of tho channel entrance, in lead of the wind, to onablo tho boat to run into port if tho Storm was not able to. enter port herself. Tho latter vessel,? however, .received signals to enter, and after another ( exciting ,toT7 during which the littlo craft was many times on tho i verge of capsizing, tho ,boat arriv<xj safely iu port.
