SECOND DIVISION.
ST. JOHN'S I v. ST. JOHN'S 11. Tho turf was .in very good order, -although ono or two ' ruts were the of some good passing among the forwards of Dotli sides being nullified. From the kick-off the A's soon asserted themselves, and from a good centre by Fcrgusson, Shaw drew first blood. The play went up and down field several timos, but tho B team wore never dangerous, and tho A's registered three more goals through the agency of Fergusson. (2) and Roseborns (1) before half-time was called. During the interval tho two toams' were photographed by their president,- .Mr. J. Boal.■ , Play was very fast at times in the second spell, but the'A's continued to have the upper hand, and scored four more goals, Fergusson putting the finishing touch on in each case. Towards the end of tho game the B's livened up considerably, and the forwards working well together pressed hard, and just beforo call of time M.'Farlano miskicked through his own goal, thus making tho final result A's 8, B's .1. For the winners Fergusson, Rosewarno, Shaw, Johnston, Trevethic, and Irons were conspicuous, while Scholefield, Dick, Bowden, and G. Smith played tho best games for the losers. Mr. Smith was- a very satisfactory ref^ee. LETTER-CARRIERS v. PORIRtJA. Lotter-Carriers met and defeated Porirua' ■at Porirua by 2 goals to nil, Barclay and Shorter scoring for the Letter-Carriers.. JUNIOR LEAGUE MATCHES. After a fast and exciting game Kaiwarra won by two goals to nil,- Kutner. and Bowden each scoring one in the last- five minutes of tho play. Bowden, Kutner, and Fitzgerald were the pick of tho Kaiwarra team. Phillips, Wilkins, and Bailey, in the forwards, and Pritchard and Chauey, in tho back division, and Milne, iu goal, played best for Y.M.C.A. . Swifts defeated Y.M.C.A. B by 1. goal to nil. There was some very fine forward play noticeable in this game. From a free kick iu tho second spell Overend scored for Swifts, this being the only scoro of the match. For Swifts, Foote and Carrjithers played great games. Y.M.C.A. fifth-class team defeated Brooklyn B by four goals to nil. ' Diamonds fifth had a win over South Wellington by one goal'to nil.
