The chairman of Millar's Karri and Jarrah Company, of West Australia, attributed tho decline of £40,000 in tho profits to a strike of the workmen. The latter now desired tho concern- to bo worked on a co-operativo basis. Tho directors could not possibly consent to this, but they had offered an alternative schemo. Tho workmen, the chairman added, woro less blameablo than agitators and members of tho Labour Party with a political propaganda.
