Gold Dust's name was telegraphed round the country as having accepted in the Grand National Hurdles, but it was absent from the list published in the "Referee" on: July 22, and it may be taken for granted that ho did not accept. At any rate, he is doing no work at present. Lady Warwick (Torpedo—Lady Home) died at Waipawa last week from an internal ooraplaint. During he racing career, Lady Warwick won several races. in Auckland, Gisborne, and Napier. Visitors to the Hawke's Bay Hunt Club's meeting speak very highly of the •excellent horsemanship displayed by F. Davis on Cauldron in the Trial Hack Race. Cauldron is a full brother to Merriwai, winner of the Great Northern Hurdles. V. Collello passed through by the Wimiinera yesterday on the way to Lyttelton with tho' Grand National candidate, Nadador. In connection with tho disqualification of the horse Pull Cry on tho second day of tho Trentham meeting, the. stewards of the Wellington Racing . Club met last evening to continue the inquiry into, the surrounding circumstances of tho case. After a fairly lengthy sitting, the stewards decided to disqualify during pleasure tho horse Full Cry, tho owner C. Chestermnn, and T. O'Brion," licensed jockey, of Hastings. This decision was arrived at as the stewards wero not satisfied that the horse was run to win on the first day of tho meeting, -and from tho information received they believed there was an'irregular partnership, existing between Chesterman and O'Brien.
