THE WORLD'S FLOCKS.
: : Tlio latest sheep statistics of the world reveal a '.striking:-diminution in their numbers, compared with thirteen years ago.' They were then estimated at, 523 millions, whilo to-day tlioy aro <179 millions,' a falling off of 44 millions. ' ;This'shrinkage in sheep, coupled with the increase, in population, at least' justifies feelings-, of solid security and hopefulness to all engaged in sheep husbandry.- • There is another interesting fact in this connection,, namely, whilst this diminution .in sheep has been going on, the yearly .sales of Cooper's- Dip', have : continuously increased. Thirteen years ago, its output would dip 140 million sheep. To-day it suffices to dip over 250 millions! .Rcmarkablo as this statement may seem, it is nevertheless absolutely true. It "is based on tlio official certificate of a Chartered Accountant, who has recently examined tho books of tlio Berkhamsted factory. It means that tlio yearly sales of "Cooper" aro sufficient to' dip more than half of all tho sheep now grazing on tho pastures of tho world. There can bo only one explanation of this increasing and universal preference—namely, that Cooper's yields the most profitable results of all sheep dips. 5651
