LAMBING IN THE WAIRARAPA.
Lambing has fairly started on several portions of-tho East Coast districts (writes our : Wairarapa correspondent), and. all are doing very Well. At Mr. J. 11. Tathain'si Homewood, sheep generally are in capital health and condition. Thero has been no mortality there, i. Feed, is reported to. be .fairly ' good for this time of the year. The station, has a line of fat cattle, which are looking' exceedingly well. - There' has •• been .'"a fair amount of lambing' in Kopuranga, and a slight mortality is reported among s'omo of the newcomers and - aged sheep, consequent upon the cold weather; \ ■ Stock are reported Ho bo doing very well at Te Whitj, although there'-'is not too much cattle feed there, the sheep aro doing splendidly: Tho Te Whiti is a fine rape and turnip'country, and farmers, report that- thero is a likelihood of an increase in'the. sowing of crops of this description. The lambing will not commouee in that district until'about' the .middle of August, when it is expected to start also at Turpurupuru. .
