INSTITUTE'S ANNUAL. .MEETING. Tho annual meeting of tho Wellington District Institute of Teachers was held last night. Mr. Win. Foster presided, and there •was a largo attendanco of members. Twelvo now mombors wero elected. ..The.annual report and balnnce-shcct (which' havo already boon published) wero read .and adopted. Tha following were elected as officers for tho ensuing year:—President,. Mr.'H.'A. Parkinson, M.A.; vice-presidents,, Miss Bright and Mr. A. Mackenzie'; .management' committee, Miss Craig and Mr. ;E. H. Ballachey, 8.A.; auditor, Mr. Bary f.secrotary, Mr. J. L. Panning; treasurer, Mr. Henderson. Tho circular dealing with the proposed scheme for an interchange of teachers between the educational districts of tho Empire, referred by the Education Board to the Institute for its consideration,was, on! the motion of Mr. A, Erskinoy received. Tho Instituto then ;wont into committee for tho purpose of discussing tho now Education Act Amendment Bill.
