FROZEN MEAT TRADE.

The imports of frozen sheep and lambs into the United Kingdom from January 1 to Juno 12 amounted to 4,545,736 carfcasses, bemp; a decreaso: as compared with the corresponding period of 1907 of 595,049 carcasses. New Zealand.—Sheep, 769,185 (decrease 184,592); lambs, 1,324,188 (decrease 63,689).. There was a substantial increase on. tho imports of .frozen beef (173,493 quarters) when: compared .with'the same period of last year, and the arrivals for the four weeks before .the mail left had., ainounted. to 157,815 quarters. New Zealand continued to show a iecline in the quantities shipped, the increase being from South America and Australia, principally the former. ,
