BIBLE SCHOOL RALLY.
A gathering of members of the Cliurches of Christ in and around Wellington was held on "Monday evening 'in the Vivian StreetChapel, to discuss the subject of Bible school work: Mr. J. J. Franklyn presided, and urged the'necessity of Bible teaching for tho youtli,V-'aiid tho adoption' of up-to-date, methods ot' ; teaching. '3lr. Flux, headmaster of-tllp Berhampore I'iiblic School, read an excellent paper oil "The Bible School Teacher and, his work."' The essayist advocated a more-efficient staff, and the essentials of aptitude, patienci!, and prayer. A discussion followed. -Mr. Tiller gave an exhibition of -teaching for the primary department by the aid of the sand table and blackboard. ,Mr. E. T.-Edmonds (of_ U.S.A.) gave a stirring address on the subject Bible school work in*-America.' Dealing with the matter, of teachers, he said the only ; way t-o gut good teachers was to train them. The Churches of Christ in the United States 'had solved tho problem. They had over 7fi,000 persons enrolled in the teachers' training classcs.
