EKETAHUIIA.. Tho new valuation of tho Eketahuna County shsws a considerable increase on that made in 190'1. The increases aro as follow:— Capital value, £221,156; unimproved value, £149,975; improvements, £71,208. The county rate is struck on the unimproved value. In the course of a powerful sermon in St. John's Church on Sunday evening, tho Rev. D. O. Hampton exhorted his hearers to bo more diligent in their attendance at worship.
