. \ ■ . POLICE OASES,. (Before Mr. W. G. Riddoll, S.M.) : A' few minutes was sufficient to - dispose of the business at the Magistrate's Court on Saturday morning. A ' A young , man named Charles Leigh was charged with stealing a pair of. leather reins valued at 255., the property of Enoch E. Touks. On the application of tho police a remand until July 27 was granted, and bail was allowed in tlio sum of £10 and one' surety of £10. . For insobriety, Henry Thompson was convicted and fined 205., in default 48 .hours' imprisonment. An information laid against a first offender was withdrawn.
