All the roads in the Fairlie and Ajbury districts are full of sheep that have been got off the front ranges, which art- also very heavily snow-clad. The country sfiow plough had not yet been got through Burke's Pass, and. beyond there were oiilv the/rough tracks niado by the tramp , of horses.
